History of The Grief Cruises

Looking to connect grieving people more deeply with their grief and with each other, Linda Findlay set sail on the very first Grief Cruise in September 2016. The first and original bereavement-centered cruise vacation, the inaugural Grief Cruise invited guests and their families to share stories about their loved ones and participate in The Grief Cruise’s many workshops. Cruise guests also enjoyed the ship’s shows, attractions, nightlife, and shore excursions. Feedback from the first cruise was incredible—Grief Cruise attendees came away with a sense of hope, healing, and health regarding their grief—and a suntan to boot! Recognizing the powerful connection between a tropical getaway and the healing that comes from community, Linda continued to orchestrate and lead several more bereavement-themed cruises. And thus, The Grief Cruises was born!
